Teenage Kicks Signed by Michael Bradley

Michael Bradley joined his high school friend's group in Derry, Northern Ireland in the Summer of 1974. They has two guitars and no singer.
Four years later the Undertones recorded 'Teenage Kicks', John. Peel's favourite record, and became one of the most fondly remembered UK bands of the post punk era.

It may be one of the most cherished recordings ever, but the story behind the release of The Undertones Teenage Kicks in 1978 is long on happy accidents. Derry's on; u punk band didn't originally plan it to be the lead track on their debut EP and they even had to persuade their singer to rejoin the band just to do the recording. But when John Peel got to hear it, everything went a bit mad.



Michael Bradley is one of the patrons of Children's Literature Festivals and is a great supporter of encouraging children through literacy. Christina is founder and Trustee of the charity www.chidlrensliteraturefestivals.com
Michael met Christina at the Peoples Book Prize in 2017 as they were both in the final in their respective categories. Christina's book Triangular Trev and the Shape Idols.
