Description An easy to grow annual excellent for bedding and borders. Large, frilled blooms in unusual shades ranging through apricot, orange, primrose and cream. Long-flowering in many garden situations and also makes a good cut flower.

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. The light peppery taste of the flowers can be added to breads for extra flavour with a touch of colour. Can also be used as a substitute for saffron when colouring rice dishes. For more details about edible flowers

Sowing

Where to sow: Outdoors where they are to flower.
Preparation: Prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones.
Sowing: Sow 12mm (1/2in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart, or scatter seed in beds or borders as a gap filler and lightly cover with soil.
Growing: When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 23-30cm (9-12in) apart. Water regularly particularly in dry periods, until plants are fully established. Deadhead faded calendula flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced and prevent them from self seeding. More Info Water regularly until plants are fully established. Returns

You can return an item to us for either exchange or refund within 21 days of receiving it, providing that the product is unused, and in the condition that it arrived in, including any packaging. The only exceptions to this are items that have been made to order, customised to order, perishable goods or audio or visual recordings or computer software if the item has been unsealed.
