Run by Luca Degani since 1995, the Cantina Valpantena is now one of Italy’s best cooperative wineries, with 700 hectares of vineyard producing excellent quality fruit. Matt Thomson of Blank Canvas, who also makes some of the Alpha Zeta wines here, has worked closely with Luca at Cantina Valpantena since 1999.

Known as the ‘valley of god’ to the ancient Greeks, the Valpantena is well known for its quality red wines, due partly to the limestone soils, but also because of the cool breeze that blows down the valley from the foothills of the Dolomites.

Torre del Falasco

The Torre del Falasco wines are the standard bearers of this cooperative. The Garganega displays floral and citrus aromas with a rich mineral palate and lifted lemon zest on the finish. Their Valpolicella illustrates why the Valpantena Valley has always been regarded to match the quality of the Classico zone. The Ripasso is a fuller, riper style than Alpha Zeta, as is their Amarone. The `Tesauro` Recioto della Valpolicella is elegant and well-structured displaying delicate aromas of blackberry jam and spicy hints.

Standard delivery is £9.99 and may take up to 10 working days, although under normal circumstances your order should be delivered within 3-5 working days.

Returns

How long do I have to return an item to you? We will accept returns up to and including 7 days from the day of delivery.

How do I return an item? Simply return the item to the following address within the specified time, using any postal service. Remember to use a service that requires a signature and includes insurance as responsibility remains with you until we have signed for it.

Remember to enclose the printed returns note with your item or it may delay processing.

We try hard to accept all returns but returns must be in original packaging and in original condition. In the unlikely event that an item is returned in an unacceptable condition the item may be returned to you.
