Founded on 1 February 1700, Vergelegen (meaning "situated far away"), has been under the ownership of some of the world's great explorers and visionaries, each of whom, in their own way, have helped shape Vergelegen to what it is today: a world-class Estate. With its world renowned handcrafted wines, history spanning over 300 years, heritage, exquisite gardens and refined cuisine, it comes as no surprise that Vergelegen continues to be the choice of the discerning visitor seeking a total sensory experience. For this reason, the Estate has borne witness to many visits of heads of state and celebrities from all over the world.

Only the Rondekop vineyards are used for the production of the Vergelegen G.V.B. They are dry-land vineyards with a planting density of 4000 vines to the hectare on granitic soils with a deep clay/pebble base offering excellent water retention. Planted at 180-220 meters above sea level, the vines are cooled by moderate sea breezes every afternoon, allowing for a longer growing season.

For local deliveries to the above postcodes where your order is below £50 there will be a charge of £4.99.

Postal Delivery

Standard delivery is £9.99 and may take up to 10 working days, although under normal circumstances your order should be delivered within 3-5 working days.

Free delivery on all orders with a value over £200 to a single delivery address for UK mainland destinations.

Returns

How long do I have to return an item to you? We will accept returns up to and including 7 days from the day of delivery.

How do I return an item? Simply return the item to the following address within the specified time, using any postal service. Remember to use a service that requires a signature and includes insurance as responsibility remains with you until we have signed for it.

Remember to enclose the printed returns note with your item or it may delay processing.

We try hard to accept all returns but returns must be in original packaging and in original condition. In the unlikely event that an item is returned in an unacceptable condition the item may be returned to you.
